A session has been conducted on “Project Management in Engineering” dated March 3, 2020 (Tuesday) from 2:00-4:00 PM at SOT auditorium, GSFCU. The speaker of the session was Mr. Alok Singh, Joint General Manager, L&T Vadodara with almost 25 years of experience in Project and Supply Chain Management. The speaker is a Project Management and Process Improvement Professional helping companies to optimize systems. He has a Domain expertise in improvement of Procurement Processes and Supply Chain Processes. Also he possess an Extensive Domain experience in EPC project execution for Cement, Power and Water industry. He was associated in Cement and Power Industry with reputed organizations e.g L&T, Reliance, Prism Cement & Dalmia Bharat Group over the career span of 25 years.
The expert talk was useful for all faculties and students of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Since the topic was Project management so the target audience was mainly 3rd and 4th year students of above mentioned branches as it was not relevant to 1st and 2nd year students because major/core subjects are not yet covered for those semesters. Students response was good as around 100 students were present during 2 hours of session.
