GSFC University in association with Department of Science and technology, Gujarat Informatics Ltd, NASSCOM, GESIA, organized an interactive workshop on the theme “Understanding the future requirements and prospects of Next generation courses in B.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering)” with focus on Artificial Intelligence & Big Data , Internet of things and Automation, on June13, 2019. The organization hosted a wide array of dignitaries namely Shri P. K Taneja ,IAS(Retd) , President GSFC- University Mr. Umesh Rateja, Hon. Jt. Secretary and Director, GESIA, Mr. Dhruv Patel, Chairman GESIA Vadodara and Director, GESIA, NASSCOM member, Mr. Sanjay Gaden, Head SeMT (State e Governance Mission Team)-Gujarat, Mr. B.B Bhayani, Provost, GSFC University.
President Shri P.K Taneja gave an overview of the GSFC University, he highlighted the paradigm shift that GSFC- University is adopting, and he also highlighted the strategic goals university is aiming at.. He informed that GSFCU have recognized the urgent need of the industry for next generation digitally skilled engineers. Responding to its need, GSFCU is introducing computer science & engineering program with specialization in big data and artificial intelligence & internet of things and automation from the academic year 2019-2020. He also emphasized on how these specialized areas will take an artificial inelegance to next level.
The workshop had a eminent speaker from Academia & Industry, the Speakers who eminently delivered were Mrs Ekata Mehul Shah- Director Industry Collaboration at Babaria Institute, Mr. G. Chandra Moleesswaran- Head Stategic Learning Services at SAP India Pvt Ltd, Mr. Kamal Batra & Mr. Ashwani Muraal from PTC University, Mr. Jigar Modh from L&T, Mr. Sirin Vaddadi from Atos India.
The Workshop not only enlightened about the applicability of next generation course but also gave a detailed understanding of buzzwords and impact they can have on a diverse sector of Industries.
The workshop observed a massive participation of students, parents & Entrepreneurs from diverse sector of Industries.
